iA® celebrates team members Esther Lawson, senior director of growth marketing, and Alicia McGowan, senior program leader of customer experience, as they have been recognized by Drug Store News (DSN) as 2024 Top Women in Health, Wellness, and Beauty. Dedicated to the women in retail pharmacy who are driving the industry into the future, DSN announced award winners in late July and honored them at the 6th annual Top Women ceremony held on Tuesday, Nov. 19 in Chicago.

Lawson, a 20-year industry veteran with a strong background in the hospital and healthcare sectors, has played a pivotal role in transforming and evolving iA’s marketing strategy since starting with the company in 2023. As a leader on the marketing team, Esther has introduced a proactive approach, supporting long-term marketing and product success, all while ensuring that the company’s strategy remains fluid and able to adjust to shifting industry trends and iA’s growing technological advancements.

During her past three years with iA, McGowan has provided strong and consistent leadership to her team. When integrated platforms and innovative technologies are involved, it is imperative that the customer experience is at the forefront of any company’s priorities. McGowan’s leadership when exploring capabilities and solutions with customers is at the highest level, resulting in stronger relationships and greater opportunities for future collaboration. She brings a data-driven and light-hearted approach to her team and has an eye for improving processes across the board, generating high-quality customer experiences on behalf of iA.

“Our team is thrilled to see Esther and Alicia receive these special distinctions for their standout contributions to iA over the past few years,” said Tom Utech, chief executive officer at iA. “Both leaders bring a purposeful and decisive mindset to their roles and respective areas of responsibility, and their teams’ efforts have created a rippling effect benefiting the customer experience and the company as a whole.”

Made up of the three categories – Rising Star, Commitment to Care, and Business Excellence, the DSN Awards are positioned to acknowledge the variety of ways that women are contributing to retail pharmacy. Lawson was recognized within the Business Excellence category while McGowan was honored as a Rising Star.
