BINGHAMTON, NY – November 5, 2026 — iA®, a leader in pharmacy fulfillment solutions, congratulates team member Shannon Edwards for being named to the 2026 Drug Store News list of Top Women in Health, Wellness & Beauty. The award celebrates the women in retail pharmacy shaping the future of the industry through their creations, leadership and business prowess. The full list of winners was announced last summer and honorees were recognized at the 8th annual Top Women ceremony held in Chicago on Nov. 3.
As Software Development Manager for Cloud Applications at iA, Edwards leads the team responsible for delivering and supporting key platforms, including PMSS Connect and Shared Central Fulfillment. She oversees development efforts, keeps them aligned with business priorities, and drives the successful execution of the cloud-based solutions that are critical to iA’s operations and to the pharmacies that rely on them.
Colleagues describe Edwards as a collaborative, hands-on leader who brings clarity to complex situations and works alongside both internal and external partners to reach shared goals. Over the past several years, she has built and developed a strong team of engineers, empowering them to take ownership of their work and grow into senior technical leaders. She was instrumental in the launch of PMSS Connect, where quick problem-solving and close coordination across teams helped address customer challenges in real time. She also elevated the importance of robust integration testing, an improvement that continues to shape how iA delivers and supports its solutions.
“Shannon is the kind of leader who moves our industry forward. She pairs deep technical expertise with a genuine commitment to developing her team and serving our customers. We are proud to see her recognized by Drug Store News.” said Tom Utech, iA CEO.
The Drug Store News awards are organized into three categories: Rising Star, Business Excellence, and Commitment to Care. Edwards received the 2026 Business Excellence distinction, which honors women who have demonstrated growth, achievement and leadership in areas such as innovation, decision-making and mentoring.
