Jessica Baer

Jessica handles all legal matters for the company and senior leadership on a variety of issues, including contract negotiations, corporate governance, labor and employment law, and regulatory compliance.

Prior to joining iA, Jessica was appointed by the Office of the Governor of Illinois to serve as the director of professional regulation at the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. In her role, she was responsible for all aspects of the division that licensed one million Illinois residents in over 60 occupations, including all healthcare professionals. Jessica was the primary regulator of all pharmacies and pharmacists, and oversaw the licensing process, issuing decisions on disciplinary cases and negotiating legislation that directly impacted the industry. She also served on several task forces focused on healthcare industry issues and was active in the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy and the National Conference of State Legislatures. Jessica started her service with the state of Illinois as general counsel for the same agency.

Jessica started her career at K&L Gates focusing on litigation and antitrust law, where she worked on cases involving complex contractual disputes, antitrust litigation, and regulatory compliance counseling.

Jessica earned her juris doctor, magna cume laude from DePaul University College of Law, where she also served on Law Review and was a member of the moot court team. She graduated cum laude from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. Jessica is licensed to practice law in Illinois.
